System Manager is the basic building block upon which all EVENT Software™ applications reside. Permissions for operators, devices and menu options are controlled here. All operator maintenance including password control are maintained here. All applications and options within applications can be assigned or restricted to operators from within this powerful module. This ensures that a very high level of security exists for all aspects of your business functions performed by EVENT Software™.
Benefits of Using EVENT Software™ System Manager
Control operator access to EVENT modules by the operator and module (see SM41 - Operator Security/Groups). All operators are maintained in SM40 - Operators. Every EVENT system is shipped with a pre-loaded master operator, which is ready for you to use for security and control purposes. Operators with no clearance to any option on a module are not shown the module.
As required, optimize disk usage by occasionally running SM10 - Optimize Data Files to configure the database for optimum performance.
Maintain printer security using SM42 - Locations to restrict access by location and use SM43 - Printers to manage system specific printers.
Exporting of audit files to a variety of file formats using SM11 - Export Audit Files is available for most EVENT modules.
All audit trails and reports sent to the EVENT spooler can be conveniently retrieved and printed from SM50 - Display/Start Print Jobs.
